How did AOL get so popular during the 90s?
Q. I was looking at these lame old AOL youtube commericals and it hit me. It really was popular back then. It can't be because of these commericals, when they were only coming out at it's peak (or downfall). How did AOL get so popular. What set off the chain reaction?

How to save aol email when using internet explorer?
Q. I know when you are on aol you can save your email on your pc however when you access aol email thru ie I cannot figure how to save the mail to my pc and read it offline and send it out later. I am planning atrip in a cruise and they charge alot per minute. The ship only has acess thur ie. Thanks!

A. Unless your absolutely stuck on clicking onto reply or forward with your e-mails, a simple solution would be to copy and paste the body of the e-mail to a folder in something like Works. You can also register the time, date and e-mail address at the same folder - then at your leisure you can write your response and send it out.

Why is the same website showing me one graphic in aol browser and a different graphic in explorer?
Q. I recently changed a graphic on my website. When I view the page in explorer I get the new graphic. When I view it in AOL I get the old. I've cleaned my cookies and restarted. Thanks!

A. Instead of cleaning your cookies, you need to clear your cache, then try again. Also, if you didn't remove the old graphic first, just pasted the new over it in a wysiwig webpage builder, different browsers may show one or the other, especially if you didn't lock the new graphic or make it 1D. Check the html on the page you uploaded, and make sure all references to the old graphic are gone.
