If I change internet providers do I lose access to my btinternet address? Asked by hoopedmonkey - Tue Jan 27 08:30:52 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. I have read the answers that have already been given to you and I was quite surprised. My cousin gave up her BT landline, Broadband etc to go onto another provider. When she asked if she could keep her btinternet address the lady at BT told her that it was no problem. Of course they are going to charge her a certain amount every month for the privilege of doing it, so my cousin declined and just got another address with the new provider. So I would go with the first two answers and see what happens. Answered by Laredo - Tue Jan 27 09:00:03 2009 How do I find a provider to get me internet access for my laptop?
Q. I had no problems in Europe connecting to internet with my laptop, even though I had no provider or whatever. I have Toshiba computer, and it was wireless and it simply connected to something someplace..ok I know basically how, but not how to keep, you understand? So now I am in the US with same computer, but I do not know if I need to have a certain provider company (and certainly I am willing to pay) or just make a contract with someone. I am very confused about this. I knew that in Europe you could purchase a "stick" with connects in USB which gives you access permission, but here I don't know who to go to.
