I cant turn off add-ons because the manage addon link is not "clickable". Is there another way to turn it off?
Q. I have tried restarting the internet, and computer too. But the manage add-ons link never works. And I cannot download a flash player until that add-on thing is turned off. I tried going in through the start menu. And I also went through tools. But it never lets me go far enough. Thanks for helping.

I can not enable my IE add-ons using the manage add-ons button. What seem to be the problem? How can I fix it?
Q. I am using the new version of Internet Explorer. I don't know what happened to it because whenever I open it, it says that it's currently running without add-ons. I tried enabling my add-ons, but the manage add-ons button wouldn't select. I did not do anything to disable the add-ons. Is there any way I can fix it? Is it that serious? Where did that ActiveX go? Thanks for the help.

A. I think you need to lower the security settings in your browser and/or other security software. If that helps: then please install Ewido (free.grisoft.com) for some security.

A. Assuming this is Internet Explorer, make sure the drop down says "Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer". There should be a disabled column. Try enabling it there.

I recently got Internet Explorer 8 and I want to manage add ons..?
Q. I want to add google.co.uk as my default search in the little box at the top right corner of the page, not google.com. I know theres an Accelerator for google.co.uk but its not the same as having the convenience of it in the top corner. I've searched the add ons list and can only seem to find normal US google, does anyone know how I can do it? Thanks for you help

A. Try visiting www.Google.co.uk, and see if the icon of the current search engine is highlight, or different, then click the icon, and there should be a "Add Google UK" type thing :) It's like that on Firefox, so I presume it will be on IE. Good Luck.

A. You may be logged in with insufficient permissions, try a log in with the admin account & configure it then. Failing that, check IE settings access through the control panel security settings & if still no joy, make sure there are no entries in local security policy ( software restrictions ) from control panel admin tools

How do I manage browser add-ons?
Q. When I launch my IE browser to my Yahoo! homepage -- the page freezes, hangs, is unresponsive. It's getting really bad. Someone mentioned that I might have too many browser Add-Ons. I don't know how to manage Add-Ons or which ones I can disable. I checked and it seems that I have tons of them. If I disable some of them--I'm afraid it might interfer with something else. Is there some site that I can check by putting in the name of the Add-ons and it telling me whether it is safe to disable?
